Puru Hux Beliefs
The Puru Hux belief in a pantheon of gods. The king of Gods, the maize god known as Quecha, provides for all of creation regardless their state of purity. However, his sister, the moon goddess called Teoti, inspects the world once a month in a spiritual action called Yana Killa. She marks the souls of those who are corrupt in the mind. If one dies before the next Yana Killa, they are barred from entering the cosmos. They belief that the heavens are the home of the gods and starlight holds the gift of intelligence. Many priests and mystics found in the Puru Hux take psychedelic herbs and stargaze in hope to understand more about themselves and the cosmos. The heavens and their connection to the mind explains why the practice of psionic (mind) magic is found exclusively in the Puru Hux people.
